CARING FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO

Following the correct after care is extremely important to ensure you get the best possible healed results.

-Do not wet your eyebrows for 7 days.
-Avoid working out/ excessive sweating for 7 days.
-Apply the aftercare balm provided for 7 days. This must be applied 3x per day using a clean cotton tip or finger.
-Do not apply makeup on your brows for 7 days.
-Please stay out of direct sunlight and saunas whilst the brows are healing.
-Avoid getting any facial treatments until brows are healed.

-Your eyebrows will appear sharp and dark in colour for the first 2-3 days.
-Redness and swelling will go down in the first 24-48 hours.
-Your tattoo may feel a little tender in the first 1-4 days.
-A slight crusting may form over the tattoo in the first 5-7 days. This is normal. Let any flakes naturally fall off. Do not pick. Some pigment may come off with it. There will be no scabbing, only the top layer naturally flakes off.
-Colour healing is generally a 3-week cycle.
-Trust the process and be patient, cosmetic tattoo is a rollercoaster of emotions and the tattoo will go through many changes over the 4 week healing process.

-Week 1: They will be darker and sharper than usual.
-Week 2: Brows can look quite dull and patchy; even to the point you think the pigment is gone.
-Week 4: Pigment starts to come back out in the skin and you will be ready for your touch up.
It is normal for brows to become patchy- this is why there is a second touch up appointment to assess the retention and complete the treatment.

-Do not wet your lips for 7 days.
-Avoid working out/ excessive sweating for 7 days.
-Apply the aftercare balm provided for 7 days. This must be applied 3x per day using a clean cotton tip or finger.
-Drink through a straw and use cutlery for the first 2 days.
-When brushing teeth, rinse with a glass, pat dry with a clean tissue and apply your cream after.
-Do not apply makeup or ANYTHING ELSE on your lips other than the cream given to you, for 7 days. After the 7 days, you are welcome to continue using the provided cream or your own lip balm (please check with your artist, as some products can fade the pigment prematurely).
-Please stay out of direct sunlight and saunas whilst the lips are healing.
-Avoid getting any facial treatments until lips are healed.

-Colour intensity can be extreme for the first week. This will fade 50% as the healing process occurs.
-Lips may be swollen and tender for the first 1-3 days.
-Day 3-6 the lips will generally become very dry and chapping will occur. After 6 days the colour will start to soften.
-The top layer will slowly start to flake off, do not pick this off. Let it gradually flake off when its ready.
-Colour may start to appear very dull between weeks 2-4. This is a normal part of the healing process. Please wait 6-8 weeks for the full colour to be evident.

-Do not wet your eyes for 7 days.
-Do not apply any eye makeup for 7 days, including mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadows or creams.
-Avoid working out/ excessive sweating for 7 days.

-Avoid getting any facial treatments until eyes are healed.

-It is normal for the eyes to be slightly swollen for the first 24-48 hours, this will go down.
-Your eyeliner will appear sharp and dark for the first 2-3 days, the colour will soften and the tattoo itself will shrink in size.
-Colour intensity will start to fade after the first week or two.
-Eyes can feel tender for the first 1-3 days.
-The colour will go very faint around week 2-3, this is normal please wait until the full 6-8 weeks when it will be fully healed.

-Day 1: Looks too dark, swollen and red.
-Day 2: The area feels dry and tender, swelling should start to subside.
-Days 3-4: Scabbing then flaking starts.
-Days 5-10: The ghosting phase begins (pigment becomes very light).
-Days 11-40: Colour slowly darkens again.
-Day 41: The colour has fully healed and it’s time for your touch up.

-Day 2-3: Swelling subsides, lips will feel dry and tight, colour will darken.
-Day 3-7: Your lips will start to flake and peel, colour will darken even more, lips will still feel dry and tight.
-Day 7-30: Colour is even darker, may be patchy and the colour will start to settle.
-Month 2-6: New lip shade will be present, and it is time for your next session / touch up.
